Auctions: This category is for breeders or merchants who are hosting an auction and need more advertising exposure. The Llama Directory is not hosting or involved with the auction, but will provide you with links to the auction website. Llama auctions can be either an Internet or "online" auction where you view a picture of the llama(s) with information about their bloodlines, description of the llama, asking price, etc. There are also auctions, throughout the nation, that send prospective buyers' catalogs with specifics about the llama(s) or just postcards about the upcoming event. If you can't attend a llama auction, some auctioneers will accept telephone bidding during the live auction. Many llama haulers will be present at the auction and may be able to provide you with transport for a reasonable fee. Either way, if you are hosting an auction, this is a great way to advertise your event. Instructions for submitting pictures and descriptions for the following: Classified Ads In the Spotlight Llama Showcase Send your pictures (at least a 4"x6") either by US mail or email. Pictures that you will scan and email to me as an "attachment" should be saved in a .jpg or JPEG format. You can send your classified ad, Showcase, or Spotlight content in Word (as an email attachment) or write your information using your email program. Pictures will not be returned unless a self-addressed, stamped envelope is enclosed. If you have a business card, please send that, too. Classified Ads: Classified ads are free to members and offers extra selling exposure for merchants and llama breeders alike. Llama Showcase: This category was designed to help you sell llamas, or advertise a stud, if you don't have an Internet web page currently, or you just don't have time to maintain the one you have. The photo gallery is an ideal way to display llamas and/or products for buyers to view. The cost is $10 per animal per month. Showcase Instructions: This will give you the information you need to get your llamas advertised in the Llama Showcase. In the Spotlight: If you don't have a web page or a hosting service, this is your opportunity. Includes: logo, your choice of colors, and up to 10 pictures with descriptions. I can build, maintain, and host your web page for less than $200 per year, that's less than $ .55 per day!! PLEASE NOTE: In addition to the "Spotlight" pricing above: replacing llamas or items on your personal website throughout the year costs only $10 per animal or item.
